- Mary E. Harris, 69, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at her residence. Mary was born in Hampton, Tenn., to the late Dr. Joseph Alexander Hardin and Dorothy McAnich Pierce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Hardin. Mary was a United States Army veteran and of the Christian faith. She was a talented seamstress and also enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping and riding motorcycles. Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her son, Eric (April) Mohler of Elizabethton, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mary’s life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Isaac Mohler officiating.
