- Katheryn Victoria Pritchard, 81, of Avery County, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 13, 2022 at The Greens in Spruce Pine.
A native of Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Ike and Melba Calhoun Erwin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Pritchard, Sr., who passed away July 4, 1998; son, Danny Pritchard; and brother, Buddy Erwin.
Katheryn attended Big Meadows Missionary Baptist Church for numerous years. She loved going to the beach, cooking, and especially working in her yard.
Left to cherish her memories is her son, Lee Pritchard and wife, Jackie of Old Fort, and special best friend, Jenny Hughes of Roaring Creek. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Elk Mountain Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Ryan Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Brian Watson, Tony Jones, Glenn Aldridge, Greg Johnson and Peck Taylor.
