- Kenneth Laverne Ervin, age 78, of Erwin, TN, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. Mr. Ervin was a native of Erwin and the son of the late Thomas Marion Ervin and the late Eva Louise (Ruth) Ervin. He was also the great-grandson of David J. N. Ervin, founder of the town of Erwin, TN.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute to, and remember the life of Kenneth L. Ervin in a funeral service to be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Rusty Wishon and Reverend Bruce English will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 PM and continue until 8:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will follow the 11:00 AM service on Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jason Ervin, Dale Greer, Michael Cooper, Bruce English, Travis Blanchard and Kevin Walter.
