- This family has been created as a means of grouping the ARNOLD families who lived in Johnson County, Tennessee, in the early 1800s. The approximate dates of birth for these ARNOLDs is such that it appears that they are siblings. It is possiblethat these ARNOLD families are related to John ARRENDELL and his wife Mary. However, they were not mentioned in his will, and it appears that the ARRENDELLs took great care to mention their children in their wills. In viewing the 1830 Carter County Census, which included all of Johnson County (founded in 1836), it also appears that more of the ARNOLD families lived in Carter County, while all of the ARRENDELLs lived in what would become Johnson County.
