Jerry Allen "Boog" Arnett, 69, of Johnson City, died Monday, February 9, 2015 at his home.

He was a Washington County native and was a son of the late Edward and Virginia Swanner Arnett.

Jerry was a retired sheet metal worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Faye Arnett, and two brothers, James and Wallace Arnett.

Survivors include: two daughters, Kim Miller, and her husband Philip, and Renee Arnett; three sons, Timmy Arnett, and his wife Sue, Neil Arnett, and Mark Arnett; and 13 grandchildren.

The family of Jerry Arnett will receive friends from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Following the visitation, family and friends will proceed to Monte Vista Memorial Park for a 1 pm graveside service. Pallbearers will be: Philip Miller, Carl Miller, T. J. Arnett, Philip Miller, Mike Doyle, and Billy Napier.

Jerry married Joyce Faye DeLoach about 1966. Joyce (daughter of James Alfred DeLoach and Elizabeth Rebecca "Lizzie" Treadway) was born on 29 Jun 1946 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 25 Dec 2014 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Monte Vista Memorial Park, , Washington County, Tennessee. Pansy Virginia Arnett, 86, of 268 Mosier Road, Johnson City, died Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late Bert and Rebal Loudy Swanner. Pansy was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Long Arnett in 1995 and a son, James Arnett. Survivors include: 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Wallace Arnett, Jerry and Joyce Arnett: a sister, Shirley Swanner all of Johnson City; twelve grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park, under the direction of Pastor Dexter Hoilman. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. when a procession to the cemetery will leave. Active pallbearers will be: Philip Miller, Mark, Hack, Rick, Timmy and Eddie Arnett.
