    Funeral services for Charles Gordon Whitehead, 85, prominent Shell Creek resident who died at the home of his nephew, Andy Whitehead, following a short illness, was held at the Perry Cemetery near Shell Creek at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, the Reverend Johnny Hall officiating.
    Mr. Whitehead as survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lydia Whitehead, and several nieces and nephews.
    Active pallbearers were Howard Shell, Roby Elliott, Ray McKinney, Amos Watson, Robert Osborne, Harrison Perry, Thomas Gordon and R. F. Wood.
    Flower bearers were Stella Whitehead, Martha Whitehead, Stella King, Callie Moody, Emma Dugger, Ruby Miller, L__[illegible] Shell, Treacie Shell, Martha Brinkley and Georgia McKinney.
