Jenny was the negro slave of Samuel DeLoach. She gave birth to several children who became part of the Samuel DeLoach estate. Two of them, Hasty and Daniel, are named in his will. Ownership of Hasty Passed from William and Tracy DeLoach Spicer to the Smith family. Thereafter, Hasty will be referred to as Hasty Smith.
