Phillip Finney

Notes:

The Finney Family History book states he was born in Oct. 1822 in NC. Phillip was lost to his family for many years. After his 1st wife died, he left his children with their grandparents and headed West. He just left the family and never came back. The children, one of which was my great great grandmother, never saw their father again and didn't know what became of him.

His children by his 1st wife (Mary Matthews/ or Mathis):
Isabell -- never married but had two children, Obe & Axe
Susan -- married James Cockerhan
Miles Finney -- married 1st Anne Pinnix, 2nd Amelia Reniis

His children by his 2nd wife (Catherine Greenwell):
George Washington Finney -- married Elizabeth Mollyfield
