Lloyd Blaine Lipford, age 78, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his companion and eight children. He was born in Shouns, Tennessee on July 20, 1935 to the late Estel and Nellie Lipford. He was of the Protestant Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Roma Jean Eggers Lipford and two brothers, Coy Wayne Lipford and Estel Harold Lipford.

Survivors include: his companion of fourteen years, Mary Grace Miller; six sons: Lynn and wife Gretchen Lipford of PA, Warren and Debbie Lipford of Mountain City, TN, Michael and Deana Lipford of Trade, TN, Rockie and Robin Lipford of West Grove, PA, Allen Lipford and companion Debbie Swift of Trade, TN, and Mark and Misty Lipford of Trade, TN; two daughters: Connie Cardwell, Mountain City, TN and Cathy Lipford and companion Rob Greene of Boone, N.C. ; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren and nine step-children also survive; one brother, Billy Lipford; three sisters, Carlene Courtner, Jessie Caldwell and Lucille Johnson all of Mountain City, TN and numerous nieces and nephews, several step-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Lloyd Blaine Lipford were conducted 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 from the East Side Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Pastor Sonny Younce officiating. Visitation for friends and family was 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Military graveside service and interment accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard was Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, TN.

Pallbearers were David Lipford, Kenneth Lipford, D. J. Moranville, Daniel Lipford, Clyde Lipford and Josh Lipford. Honorary pallbearers were Brandon May, Cody Lipford, Heath Lipford, Michael Blaine Lipford, Jr. and Christopher Lipford.

Lloyd married Roma Jean Eggers about 1960 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Roma (daughter of William Howard Taft Eggers and Rosa Ella Miller) was born on 24 Aug 1940 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died on 11 Jan 1999 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Sunset Memorial Park, , Johnson County, Tennessee.
