KELLER, Texas — Janice K. Ferguson, 72, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at her home in Keller, Texas.
A native of Elizabethton, Janice lived the majority of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mozella Treadway of Valley Forge. Before moving to Texas three years ago, Janice attended First Christian Church in Johnson City and worked as a dental hygienist in Kingsport for over 50 years, working for Drs. Frank Buckles, Robert Hodge, and John Machen. She loved her patients and became close friends with many of them. Janice was a loving wife, mother, and recent grandmother who adored her three-year-old granddaughter, Alyssa. Janice will now be reunited with her late husband, Henry Ferguson, who passed away last year.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Rose Ferguson of Fort Worth, Texas, and her granddaughter, Alyssa Rose Ferguson.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport, Tenn., with a graveside service to follow at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens in Johnson City at 3 p.m.

JAMES TREADWAY
Elizabethton, June 9 - James Treadway, age 76, died at the home of his son, Arthur Treadway, Route 6, Elizabethton, Wednesday evening at 8:15 after a short illness.
Mr. Treadway was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Arthur Treadway, Elizabethton, Robert L. Treadway, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Mae Hathaway, Elizabethton; four sisters, Mrs. John Henry, Limestone, Mrs. Laura Vanhuss, Mrs. Austin Nave, Mrs. Bill Hardin, Elizabethton; four brothers, Alex Treadway, Monroe Treadway, C. E. Treadway, Bowman Treadway, Elizabethton; 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Valley Forge Christian Church Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. J. J. Musick and Rev. Carl Osborne officiating.
Burial will be made in Smith Cemetery.
Active pallbearers: Paul Headrick, Graham Hagy, Carl Treadway, Sanders Henry, Carl Williams, Roy Garrison, Ed Hathaway, W. E. Holtzclaw.
Flower bearers will be the nieces.
The body will be returned to the home of Arthur Treadway Friday morning.

Mrs. Treadway Dies; Funeral Arrangements Made
Funeral services for Mrs. James Treadway, 73, who died at her home in Valley Forge Tuesday night at 6:45 o'clock following an illness of three months, will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Church of Christ at Valley Forge.
Conducting the rites will be the Rev. John Shepherd assisted by the Rev. Oswald Wilson. Burial will be in the Smith cemetery.
Mrs. Treadway was a member of the Free Will Baptist church.
Survivors include her husband, James Treadway; two sons, R. L. of Knoxville and Arthur of Elizabethton; one daughter, Mrs. Mac Hathaway; two grandchildren; one brother, W. L. Hedrick; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Hedrick, all of Elizabethton.
Active pallbearers will include Paul Hedrick, Clint Williams, Bruce Bowers, Buell Treadway, Carl Shepherd and Saunders Henry. Flower bearers will be the nieces.
The body will be returned to the home Thursday morning at 11 o'clock.
