    Notes:

    Moore and his wife Catherine moved with their children to near Mountain City, TN sometime before the Civil War. Moore was supposedly killed by a band of bushwhackers during the Civil War, because he would not tell them where he had hidden some gold.

    It is believed that he was the son of James Robinson and Elisabeth Earnest. This is strictly from family tradition or theory. James Robinson died 31 Jan. 1835 in Smyth Co., Virginia, making him a contemporary to John Robinson, Sr. of Carter/Johnson Co., Tennessee.
    Nothing further is known about Elisabeth Earnest. James and Elisabeth possibly had a son named Samuel Robinson.

    Moore and his wife, Catharine are buried in a cemetery actually behind his house/farm. It is located along Highway 421 about 2 miles out of the city limits of Mountain City and on the right. According to compiled cemetery records he died in 1864 and according to family records in 1861.

    Moore married Catharis Faris about 1824 in , Brunswick County, Virginia Colony, . Catharis was born on 20 Dec 1805 in , Brunswick County, Virginia Colony, ; died on 23 Apr 1890 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Robinson-Blankenbeckler Cemetery, , Johnson County, Tennessee.
