Louis M. Tester, 81, of Eaton Township, Ohio, died Monday, August 30, 1999, at St. John Westshore Hospital, Westlake, Ohio, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Tester was a native of Watauga County, N.C., and the son of the late Eli and Sarah Presnell Tester. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Tester, in 1994, and by six brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Tester had lived in Eaton Township for the past 34 years, coming from Cleveland. He was employed by Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, Ohio, in the maintenance department, with 27 years of service. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #1250.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Alta G. Bunton Tester; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jean and Ed Roch, North Olmstead, Ohio, Mary Fitts, San Antonio, Texas, and Kathy and Chuck Runyon, Grafton, Ohio; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Marshall and Linda Tester, Parma, Ohio, Robert and Karen Tester, Medina, Ohio, Ronnie and Liz Tester, LaGrange, Ohio, and Kenny Tester, Grafton, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Tester of Tennessee; and three sisters, Rilda Campbell, Ida Finney and Ruth Jones, all of Tennessee.
Funeral services and interment will be held Thursday in Eaton Township.

Alta (daughter of Noah David Bunton and Anna Margaret Brockwell) was born on 24 Feb 1922 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; died on 10 Feb 2004 in Cuyahoga County, , , Ohio; was buried in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, , Lorain County, Ohio. RIDGEVILLE, Ohio -- Alta Tester (nee Bunton), 81, a long-time resident of Eaton Township, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at the Aristocrat Nursing Home in Berea, Ohio, following a short illness.
She was born in Jonesborough, Tenn. and had resided in Eaton Township for 40 years.
She had previously lived in Cleveland.
She was employed for over 10 years at Grief Brothers in Cleveland where she did factory work.
She retired in 1985.
Mrs. Tester was an avid collector, and she had a collection of over 1,200 salt and pepper shakers. She also enjoyed embroidery, being involved in activities at the Aristocrat Nursing Home ans spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Jean Roch of North Olmsted, Ohio; Mary Fitts, of San Antonio, Texas, and Kathy Runyon of Grafton, Ohio; four sons, David M. of Parma, Ohio; Charles Robert of Litchfield, Ohio; Ronald of LaGrange, Ohio, and Kenneth, of Gafton; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in 1999; one daughter, Barbara, in 1994, and by one sister, Edna Cook.

MRS. E. F. TESTER
Mrs. Cameline Tester, 67, of Route 2, Butler, died in the Appalachian Hospital Sunday afternoon. She was a member of the Elk River Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Eli Finley Tester; eight sons, Howard, Luke, Nelson, Lewis, Earl and Coy of Butler, Ben of Hampton, and Finly P. Tester with the civil service stationed at Tokyo, Japan; six daughters, Mrs. Mae Cooke, Mrs. Ruby Trivette, and Mrs. Ida Finny of Rominger, N. C., Mrs. Ruth Jones of Durham, N. C. and Mrs. Rilda Campbell of Cosby, Tennessee; one sisters, Daisy Hicks of Elk Park, N. C.; thirty-seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Elk River Baptist Church Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Miller, the Rev. Tommy Stansberry, and the Rev. Dayton Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Lewis Cemetery in Sugar Hollow.
Active pallbearers will be Author Dugger, Rod Norris, Andrew Finney, Bud Green, Wheeler Van Cannon and Dewey Dugger.
Flowerbearers[sic] will be Maude Gryder, Ida Lou Gryder, Mary Cable, Della Miller, Lilly Sheffield, Edith Finney, Ira Hicks and Bonnie Ruth Eggers.
The body will be moved to the home today at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Tetrick Funeral Home.
