Lafayette Jones, John Stout had made several efforts to get through the rebel lines to the Federal Army, but failed." He was killed, "in Johnson County, Tennessee, on the 9th day of October, 1864."

    Godfrey Daniel Stout was my husband's gt.gt.gt. grandfather and we visited the cemetery he is buried in "Asa Shoun." On his stone it is written
