Godfrey Daniel Stout was my husband's gt.gt.gt. grandfather and we visited the cemetery he is buried in "Asa Shoun." On his stone it is written
Godfrey Daniel Stout, born Nov. 23, 1757...died April 2, 1846 Prected by Descendant
I have a photo of stone. It is up on top of a mountain, very heavely grass area.

Godfrey married Catherina Magdalen Voltzen on 3 Mar 1772 in Shenandoah Valley, , , Virginia. Catherina (daughter of Johann Peter Voltz and Maria Elizabeth Mintzin) was born on 21 Mar 1755 in Shenandoah County, , , Virginia; died after 1842 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; was buried about 1842 in Asa Shoun Cemetery, , Johnson County, Tennessee. Notes:

Emigrated to the American Colonies on the ship Patience on 16 September 1748.
He's listed on the passenger list as "Jan Peter Fols, age 18."

His will is dated 05 Jun 1807.

Johann married Maria Elizabeth Mintzin about 1751. Maria was born about 1735 in Germany, , , ; died about 1755. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Their last child was born in 1774. Catharina's prayer book says that she recieved the book from her parents on 02 Sep 1790. Since she isn't mentioned in Peter's will, it can be assumed that Elisabeth died after September 1790 but before 05 Jun 1807.
