    Walter E. Nave died Tuesday morning at 715 3rd Street.
    Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Homer Weaver, Johnson City, Mrs. L. C. Harrison, Johnson City, Mrs. Kate Switzer, Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Nell Fliff, California, Mrs. Ruth Sjoblin, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Pauline Carriger, Oak Ridge; two sons, Bruce Nave and Henry Nave, Akron; and two step-daughters; two sisters, Mrs. D. B. Bowers, Johnson City, and Mrs. J. W. Grindstaff, Elizabethton; fourteen grandchildren.
    Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

    Funeral services for Walter E. Nave, 71, who died Tuesday morning, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Chapel of the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home with Rev. D. B. Bowers officiating.
    Music will be under the direction of Rev. D. B. Bowers.
    Burial will be made in Grindstaff Cemetery at Siam.
    The body will remain in the chapel of the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home.
    Survivors are eight daughters, Mrs. Homer Weaver, Johnson City, Mrs. J. T.     MRS. DORA S. FAIR
    Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Shoemaker Fair, age 56, who died Monday, April 12 at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Ralph Johnson, 710 North East street, will be conducted at the Free Will Baptist church Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. C. Howington in charge, assisted by Rev. Mack Hodge. Interment will be in the Highland cemetery.
    The body will lie in state at the church from one to two o'clock Thursday.
    Music will be in charge of Mrs. Myrtle McManus with special music by Luther Hampton and Mrs. N. T. Williams.
    Survivors are her husband, Robert Fair; four children, Mrs. Roy Angel, Mrs. Viola Fair, Clyde Fair, of Elizabethton; Lester Fair, Hagerstown, Md.; two step daughters, Mrs. Brown Burrow, Mrs. Claude Nidiffer, of Elizabethton; mother, Mrs. Laura Hennegar; three sisters, Mrs. Eula Keys, of Dar, Va., Mrs. Etta Shelton, Marion, Ohio; Mrs. Cordie Shelton of North Carolina; four brothers, John Shoemaker, Lenoir, N. C.; Fred Shoemaker, N. C.; Charlie and James Hennegar, Marion, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
    Flower bearers will be Mrs. Clarence Howington, Mrs. Clara Morrow, Mrs. John Fair, Mrs. Ida Deloach, Mrs. Walter Nave, Mrs. Eliza Crumley, Mrs. Mae Jenkins, Mrs. Edgar McKinney, Mrs. Joe Cardwell, Mrs. Sheriff Fair, Mrs. Mary Fair, Miss Lucille Grayson, Mrs. Lawrence Roberts, Mrs. Eliza Campbell, Miss Mary Ann Perry, Mrs. Jess Elliott, Mrs. Bob Treadway, Mrs. Cora Price, Mrs. Al Hathaway.

    Henry J. Nave, 84, died at the home of Dr. A. R. Collins of Watauga Valley Saturday afternoon after a lingering illness.
    Funeral services will be conducted at the Hyder cemetery Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. D. B. Bowers and the Rev. Hamp Hopkins officiating.
    Survivors include one son, W. E. Nave of Elizabethton; three daughters, Mrs. A. R. Collins of Watauga Valley, Mrs. D. B. Bowers of Johnson City and Mrs. J. W. Grindstaff of Elizabethton; one brother, A. J. Nave of Elizabethton; a number of nieces and nephews.
    Mr. Nave was a member of the Siam Baptist church.
    Pallbearers will be Arthur Nave, Howard Nave, Glen Nave, Baxter Nave, Jud Nave, McKinley Nave. Flowerbearers[sic] will be nieces and grandchildren.
    Interment will be in the Hyder Cemetery.

    MRS. SELINA JANE NAVE
    Mrs. Selina Jane Nave, wife of Henry J. Nave, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. E. Collins of Watauga Valley, yesterday. She was 87 years of age.
    Funeral services will be held at the Hyder cemetery on Powder Branch Monday afternoon at three o'clock. The Rev. D. B. Bowers, pastor of the Unaka Avene Baptist church of Johnson City, will officiate.
    Pallbearers will be nephews of Mrs. Nave.
    She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. D. B. Bowers of Johnson City, Mrs. A. R. Collins of Watauga Valley, Mrs. Will Grindstaff of Siam; one son, Walter Nave of Elizabethton; and several grandchildren.

    MRS. ANNIE E. SHORT
    Funeral services for Mrs. Annie E. Short, 78, who died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Merritt, 401 South Main street, will be held at the Free Baptist church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The last rites will be conducted by the Rev. M. P. Murphy and the Rev. J. C. Howington. Interment will be made in the Highland cemetery.
    Mrs. Short had been married three times, first to S. H. Fair, second to W. A. Carter, and third to John H. Short.
    She is survived by two brothers, Mack Turner and Saul Turner of Coeburn, Va.
    Children surviving are James Fair, Mrs. Maggie Cooke, Bob Fair, S. S. Fair, Mrs. John Merritt, Tom Fair, Jerry Fair, Mrs. R. R. Nave, all of Elizabethton, and Mrs. W. A. Robinson of Huntington, W. Va.; George Short, step-son of Palm Beach, Florida. Mrs. Short had fifty-three grandchildren and fifty-two great-grandchildren.
    The pallbearers are Hacker Carringer, R. L. Peeks, J. C. Lowrie, L. D. Chambers, J. A. Denny, and Avery Bowers.
