Mrs. Josie Stout Whitehead, age 75, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Estep, 3 Birth street, Johnson City, Wednesday morning at 6:30 o'clock after a long illness.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Lula Campbell, Elizabethton, Mrs. Monroe Bennet, Roan Mountain, Mrs. George Estep, Johnson City; one son, Roscoe Whitehead, Johnson City; 13 grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren; nephews, nieces and many friends.
Funeral services were held at the Freewill Baptist church at Johnson City, this afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Nat Campbell and Rev. Allen Estep in charge.
Flower bearers and pallbearers were selected from friends attending the funeral.
