The 1920 Geneva, Geneva Co., AL census listed William, Clara Daisy, and their four children. Sometime after that census was taken in January, William walked out the front door one evening, boarded a West bound train and never returned, never contacted any of his family direct. He left Daisy and their four small children destitute with only the house they lived in. In 1939, 19 years later, William filed for divorce.

William married Clara Daisy DeLoach on 27 Dec 1903 in Geneva County, , , Alabama. Clara (daughter of John Dickerson DeLoach and Ruth Amaryllis Nix) was born on 20 Jan 1884 in Crenshaw County, , , Alabama; died on 19 May 1967 in Decatur, , Morgan County, Alabama. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
