Mrs. Carolyn Lance Johnson, 55, 138 DeLoach Road, Elizabethton, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Johnson was a Cherokee County, N.C., native and lived in the Tri-Cities area for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Elbert Ganard Lance and Margie Clementine Johnson Lance.
She retired as a certified nursing assistant from Roan Highland Nursing Center, Roan Mountain.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Harrison Johnson.
Survivors include six brothers, Ganard Lance, Crossville, Sherman Wachel Lance, Arnold Michael Lance and James Dennis Lance, all of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Eddie Jule Lance, Elizabethton, and Thomas Jefferson Lance, Jonesborough; two sisters, Charlotte Marie DeLoach, Elizabethton, and Georgia Maxine Western, Telford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
