William Bloodworth
Died at his residence in Marshall County, Miss., on
the 24 day of November, 1860, William Bloodworth, at
the advanced age of 82 years. The deceased was born
in Edgecombe County, N.C., emigrated in early life
to Wilson County, Tennessee, thence to Haywood County,
West Tennessee, where he joined the Baptist Church, and
thence moved to the State of Mississippi. He was a
consistent and honored member of the church of his
choice for some twenty-five years. He was an esteemed
citizen of the community in which he lived, and enjoyed
the confidence of all who knew him. His death was, as
his life had been, that of a righteous man. He leaves
an aged companion and several children to mourn his loss.
William married Frances M. Cole about 1800 in Wilson County, , , Tennessee. Frances (daughter of Joseph Cole and Sarah Barton) was born on 26 Jul 1784 in Sullivan County, , , Tennessee; died on 13 Nov 1866 in Marshall County, , , Mississippi. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
