Baxter James Wilson

James Baxter Wilson, 77, of Zionville, died Saturday evening, January 24.

Born May 7, 1903 in Watauga County, he was the son of the late Hiram and Wilda Cook Wilson. Wilson was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a retired farmer.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emma Lilly Wilson, five sons, five daughters, one brother, two sisters, 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted this afternoon (Monday) at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Reverends Herbert McCoy and Arnt Greer. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
