Euna Hughes Bentley, 76, of Newland, North Carolina went home to be with her blessed Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Euna was born on June 7, 1946 in Avery County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late John and Nola Wise Hughes. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Butch and Ted Hughes and a sister, Carolyn McFalls.
Euna was a most giving and loving person that everyone she came in contact with would agree to. And as big as her smile was her love for the Lord was greater. She put her trust in the Lord in all things never doubting his will would be done. God has received another angel and good and faithful servant. We will all love and miss her, but know she's safe in the arms of Jesus.
Euna is survived by her loving husband and greatest caregiver of 56 years, Allen Bentley; her grateful son, Ronnie (Kim) Bentley; grandchildren, Mercedes and Dakota Bentley; sisters, Brenda Trivett, Margie Hughes, Helen Dellinger and Ruby Wise; brothers, Doug Hughes and Jim Hughes.
Funeral services for Euna Hughes Bentley will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Clark officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment will follow in the Burleson Family Cemetery.
The family would also like to thank all her Dr.'s and Nurses at Watauga Medical Center, Dr. Clark, Jessica and Amanda and the caring staff of Hospice of the Blue Ridge. Also a special thanks to Richard, Karen and Meredith of Edward Jones, and for everyone's thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
