Notes: Mrs. Etta Mary Smith, 88, died at her home, Rte. 1, Sunday night at 10:15 pm. She was a lifelong resident of Johnson County and a member of the Christian Church. She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ella Gentry, Mrs. Cora Nelson, Mrs. Carol Vickson and Mrs. Betty Maxwell of Mountain City, Mrs. Bella Jones of Shouns and Mrs. Lula Smith of Bristol; six sons, David, Fred, Charles and Pete Smith of Mountain City, and Wiley of Neva; two brothers, Andrew and William Phillippi of Indiana; 65grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Liberty Chrisitan Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm with Rev. Jim Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson cemetery in Mountain City. Active pallbearers were the grandsons. The body was moved to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Betty Maxwell, Rte. 1, Monday afternoon.
