    ELIZABETHTON - Max "Scrap" Wilburn White, age 81, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Hillview Health Center.

    Max was born in the Fish Springs Community of Butler, Tennessee to the late Willard and Wilma Lewis White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn White; and a brother, Robert "Bobby" White.

    Max had been employed at North American Rayon Corporation as a supervisor and was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was an avid golfer.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Brenda Keller White, of the home; four children, Kathy Timmons, of Elizabethton, Brian White, of Hampton, Gregory White and wife Carol, of Colorado and Kristie Noe and husband Scott, of Gray; two step children, Johnny Proffitte and girlfriend Sherry and Kimberly Proffitte Hyder and husband Curtis, all of Elizabethton; one sister, Susan Townsend, of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, Summer Halpern, of Naples, FL, Tyler Noe, of Gray, Jacob Noe, also of Gray, Jon Christian White, of Johnson City, Emily Covarrubias and husband Frankie, of Colorado and Austin Hyder, of Elizabethton; three great grandchildren, RJ Halpern, of Florida, Seth Sneckenberg, of Florida and Arya Covarrubias, of Colorado; and his sister-in-law, Penny White, of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Max "Scrap" Wilburn White will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. Music will be provided by Mr. Brian Keener. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Thursday.

    The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be John D. Snyder and Lawrence Hodge.

    ELIZABETHTON - Robert L. "Bob" White, age 78, of Elizabethton went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

    Bob was born in Carter County to the late Willard and Wilma Lewis White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Bobbi Rena White Tittle.

    Bob was a loving husband and father. He was an active member of Doe River Baptist Church, where he founded the Christian Life Center. Bob retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 32 years of service. Upon his retirement he owned and operated his own tax practice, Robert L. White and Associates for 20 years. He was a member of the Carter County Humane Society, where he served as treasurer for over 25 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing and watching UT sports.

    Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 40 years, Penny Tester White, of the home; daughter, Candice Lynn Sieiro and husband Anthony, of Columbia, SC; son, Michael Ott White, of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Walt Tittle, III and wife Brooke, of Jonesborough, TN and Lindsay Franks and husband Taylor, also of Jonesborough, TN; one great grandson, Walt Tittle, IV; brother, Max White and wife Brenda, of Elizabethton, TN; sister, Susan Townsend, of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    A service to honor and celebrate the life of Robert L. "Bob" White will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Doe River Baptist Church of Elizabethton with Rev. Daniel Fink and Rev. Jim Hawk, officiating. Music will be provided by Charlotte Crumley. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church, prior to the service on Friday.

    The graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in the Lakeview Cemetery in Butler, TN. Active pallbearers will be the men of Doe River Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Whitt, Jerry Wheeler, Larry Finney, Carl Vogel, Alec Vogel, Teddy Sims, Rick Largent, Russ Becker and his golfing buddies.
