    Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Nidiffer, 82, who died at her home at Carter yesterday afternoon, held at the Estep graveyard with the Reverend Jess Richardson officiating. Mrs. Nidiffer is survived by her husband, W. H. Nidiffer; one daughter, Mrs. J. D. Arnold and a sister, Mrs. Hurley. Interment was made in the Estep graveyard.

    Mary Arnold White, 93, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton with her son, Glen White, at her side.
    She was born April 7, 1924 to the late Nora and Joseph Daniel Arnold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Lockhart; brother, Stacy Arnold; husband, James Rondal White; daughter, Shelby Bunton; and grandson, David Bunton.
    Mary had a long career at the Giant and Food Lion Supermarkets. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Elizabethton and she delighted in being a top seller of dried fruit and fancy nuts each fall for the church's Backpack Ministries' fundraiser.
    She is survived by her son, Glen White and wife Vickie, and son-in-law, Billy Bunton of Elizabethton; grandson, Joe White and Debra Chandler of Elizabethton; granddaughter, Donna Bunton and Dave Lynch of Virginia Beach, Va.; great-grandchildren, Eric Afflerbach and Nikki of Miami Beach, Fla., Cara White and Alex White of Elizabethton; and many extended family members and beloved friends who will miss her dearly.
    Visitation will be held Saturday, March 17, from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton. The service is at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. Kenneth Jordan. Private interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Mark Newman officiating.
