- Norma Jean Glover Poarch, 73, Johnson City, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Johnson City, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Blanche Mosier Glover. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poarch was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Ward, and two brothers, Sidney Glover and Steve Glover.
Mrs. Poarch was of the Baptist faith who always put the needs of her family before her own. She loved spending quality time with her only grandson, Brock. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, and working out at the gym. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Tommy Poarch of the home; son, Brian Poarch and his girlfriend, Cindy of Wilmington, NC, and daughter, Lorrie Poarch Ferrell and her husband Daryl of Johnson City; grandson, Brock Ferrell; her three brothers, Kenneth Glover and his wife Gerry, Clyde Glover and Gene Glover all of Johnson City; one sister, Sharron Warren and her husband Jim of Covington, GA; and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends to share memories on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City. The family requests the honor of your presence for a Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Poarch at 8:00PM in the Sunrise Chapel with Dr. Mark Herrod officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
