- Virginia F. Edens O'Dell, 89, formerly of Hickory Tree Rd., Bristol, Tenn., died Monday, June 18, 2001, at NHC of Bristol. Mrs. O'Dell had lived most of her life in the Bristol area and was the daughter of the late William and Grade Fleenor Edens and the widow of Charles H. O'Dell. She was a member of Central Holston Christian Church, where she had been active in Sunday School, VBS and the Ladies Circle. She was retired from the Sullivan County School System as a cafeteria worker at Emmett School. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Dennis O'Neal; son, Dr. Charles S. O'Dell; granddaughter, Sherri O'Neal; two sisters, Nina Kelsey and Blanche Branson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Central Holston Christian Church with Minister Ken Kehrer officiating. Burial will follow in Shipley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Finley Witcher, George O'Dell, Sam Witcher, Dr. Don Branson, Carl Kelsey Jr., and Wayne Hughes.
