- ELIZABETHTON - Franklin D. "Frank" Richardson, 77, Elizabethton, passed a way unexpectedly Monday, February 25, 2019 at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Wiley T. & Anna Pearl Williams Richardson. Frank was a 1961 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended Steed College. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an employee of North American Rayon Corporation for 35 + years until its closing and he retired from Mapes Piano String. He was a member of Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church. Frank was a member of the Carter County Honor Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years Charlotte Lou Fair Richardson who passed away June 13, 2012, by two brothers: Stephen Paul Richardson and Carl Richardson and two sisters: Sylvia Richardson and Florence Stevens.
Survivors include two daughters: Angela Manning & husband Foye, Morristown, TN and Diana Wright, Elizabethton. His Grandsons: Thomas Tester, David "Dylan" Wright and Franklin Wright, His Granddaughters: Nickie Grayless, Anna Jennings, Emily Wright, Great Granddaughters: Makayla Tester, Zoƫ Hyatt, Olivia Tester, Izzabella Wright and Chasity Grayless, Great Grandsons: Timothy & Steven Jennings and Spencer Heaton. Two Brothers: Harley Richardson, Johnson City and Everette Richardson, Elizabethton. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Jordan and Pastor Gene Fleenor officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1:45 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers and Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. Honorary Pallbearers will be his family and friends.
